Divyam Jindal: The Energetic Innovator and Community Igniter
Divyam Jindal is a dynamic Computer Science and Data Science student at Rutgers-New Brunswick (Class of ‘28), whose tech journey began as a child when he saw the inside of his milk-spilled miniature laptop! This early encounter with a miniature world on a green motherboard, coupled with his dad's passionate support, set him on a path of relentless exploration. That curiosity led him to explore everything from game development, robotics (he ran five YouTube science channels), to his current deep dive into AI, LLMs, and workflow automation. Currently, Divyam is a proud member of the Rutgers Road to Silicon Valley cohort and actively involved in numerous campus tech initiatives like Space Tech Association and RU Entrepreneurs.
Divyam’s introduction to the hacker community was at HackRU, an experience he describes as insane and incredibly fun, solidifying his belief that the people make the hackathon. He’s since competed in over a dozen hackathons, securing eight wins, often recruiting new teammates into a crew of "nerdy coding Avengers” and watching them get hooked too. His recent showcase at the AI SHOW @ ASU+GSV—made possible by MLH—connected him with edtech CEOs and led to an internship, highlighting the incredible opportunities born from the hacker spirit. He’s the kind of hacker who will help a first-timer at 2 a.m. or creatively "borrow" an admin office monitor to get a Raspberry Pi running, and he always brings creative chaos, contagious fun, and a can-do attitude.
Divyam calls Python his home base, though he’s currently exploring no-code/low-code automation platforms like n8n and Make, alongside React, Tailwind, Flutter, and Kotlin. His memorable hackathon stories are legendary–from real-time debugging in front of judges at HackTCNJ to the journey of his project InstructifAI from a HackRU table to the AI SHOW. A self-proclaimed movie connoisseur and F1 enthusiast, Divyam's biggest strength is being a "jack of all trades," allowing him to bring wild creative ideas to life. His journey from New Delhi to New Brunswick is fueled by a desire to innovate not just for innovation's sake, but to make real change and inspire others: Just start. Just build. Just vibe.
